Our Technology

Our crop scanning technology works in two ways.

First, we integrate a highly-advanced hyper-spectral camera directly on the production line without any disruption to the existing system. This camera is able to continuously visualize crops on over 15 different light spectra (visible light is just one of these) as they move down the line. Our AI platform then interprets the image across all spectra, looking for signs of bacterial or fungal infection based on our expertly cultivated dataset. This facet of our technology allows for extremely high volumes of testing, without the time and cost of individual testing.

This is what sets Ranalia Biotechnology apart from the competition- an efficient and cost-effective way of testing your crops. Our two step process that ensures every single crop is scanned, but that only the suspicious ones are tested. This saves you the hassle of testing randomly and sending samples off to expensive labs that won’t come back for two weeks, with your produce already on shelves. Instead, you can scan everything, only test what’s needed, and get results back in less than half an hour.

Second, once a product has been flagged as potentially infected, our quick and easy-to-use diagnostic test is enacted. This requires only a few seconds of pressing a microneedle patch into the infected crop and less than 20 minutes once the test is started, informing you the day of, rather than months down the line when customers report sickness.
